"Provision of Security Guard Services" Bid No FD-ADM-2017/13 - AMENDED & EXTENDED

On behalf of the Government of Jamaica, the Forestry Department, from its budgetary allocation from the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service intends to apply part of 

the proceeds of these funds to payments under the Contract for “Provision of Security Guard Services” at the Forestry Department (Head Office)

The Forestry Department now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders For the “Provision of Security Guard Services” at the Forestry Department’s Head Office, 173 Constant Spring Road.

Bidding will be conducted through the Local Competitive Bidding (LCB) procedures specified in the Government of Jamaica, Handbook of Public Sector Procurement Procedures (http://www.ocg.gov.jm/ocg/) and are open to all the NCC registered contractors.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Forestry Department by contacting Marcus Gordon, Manager, Administration (mgordon@forestry.gov.jm), and purchasing the Bidding Documents, at the address given below, from September 12, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Mondays to Thursdays and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.4

Qualification requirements, Contractors must have the following valid Certifications.

  • National Contracts Commission (NCC)
  • Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)
  • Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSRA)

Must provide the following Security Services

  • Unarmed and Canine.

Additional requirements are outlined in the Criteria used for evaluation in the Bidding Document.

A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased and picked up at the Cashier by interested bidders at the address given below, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Four Thousand Jamaican Dollars ($4,000.00).  The method of payment  may be in cash, or debit/credit card. All documents must be collected by Monday, October 9, 2017.

Failure to directly purchase the Tender/ Bid Documents from the Forestry Department will result in ineligibility/non-responsiveness of that bid from participating in the procurement process.

Bids must be delivered to the address given below at the Forestry Department, on or before Monday, October 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.  Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be opened at the address given below on Monday, October 23, 2017, at 10:15 a.m. in the Forestry Department’s Conference Room.
